In honor of the 40th Anniversary of Mobile Suit Gundam, Crunchyroll will be simulcasting the world premier of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin – Advent of the Red Comet.
Based on The Origin series, this anime will focus on the backstory of Char Aznable (better known as the Red Comet) and his sister before the One Year War. In the background of this origin story will also see the rose of the Principality of Zeon and the events that lead to the infamous war with Earth Federation.
For those who are unfamiliar with the series, Char Aznable is one of the main villains of the Universal Century timeline and one of the most iconic of the franchise. The character has also been an influence on the creation of other characters featured in diffrent timelines (the Char Clone’s).
Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin – Advent of the Red Comet will premier on Crunchyroll starting on April 28th.
